The total installation capacity of PV systems and PV power-generating stations set up around China in 2014 is estimated at nearly 10GWp, almost 29% less than the target of 14GWp, according to China's National Energy Administration (NEA).
According to Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF), an estimated total installation capacity of 2-3GWp for PV systems and PV power-generating stations was completed in China in 2014 but had not yet been on grids as of the end of the year.
NEA has set a target installation capacity of 12-13GWp for PV systems and PV power-generating stations to be established in China in 2015, while BNEF forecasts the global installation capacity in 2015 at 52-58GWp, an increase from 45.0-47.6GWp in 2014.
